Step 2 : take the meditation course

The course consists of 4 x 90 minute sessions held over 4 consecutive days where you receive personalised instruction in the technique of Vedic Meditation. The first is a private session where you'll have your first experience of the deep meditative state effortlessly achieved by Vedic Meditation. During the  following 3 sessions, which are conducted in a group environment, your practice of the technique will continue to be refined.  This will be complemented with in-depth knowledge, giving you a comprehensive understanding of the mechanics of the technique, the way in which stress is both accumulated and released, and how to integrate meditation into your daily routine.  It is essential that all 4 days are completed consecutively, as knowledge is delivered sequentially each day.

On completion of the course you will have mastered the technique as a completely self-sufficent meditator, armed with a technique for life and the ability to practice with ease, anywhere, anytime.  You'll never need to attend another meditation class ever again.

Private courses are available for those who wish to learn in the convenience of their own home or according to their own schedule, or for those who wish to learn as a shared, intimate experience as a family, couple or private group.

meditation for children

The 'Children's Technique' of Vedic Meditation, which is practiced by the child with the eyes open whenever the child feels like it, is taught to children of 4-8 years during a one hour session. Children aged 9-12 are taught a specialised children's version of the Vedic Meditation course over 2 x 1 hour sessions. All children then have the opportunity to join the full Vedic meditation course at age 15 and receive their adult mantra.

At least one parent must have learned Vedic Meditation and the child must be open to learning.  These courses are free, with the contribution consisting of a piece of the child's original artwork.

The important thing is this: to be able, at any moment, to sacrifice what we are for what we could become.
