Guru Purnima

  • Georgia Vavasour Meditation (map)

On the most auspicious full moon of the year, known as Guru Purnima, we gather together to enjoy a short group meditation, deep knowledge and to innerly express gratitude for the changes in life we have experienced as a result of our practice, the lineage that passed on this knowledge and to reflect on our progress over the past year.

It is traditionally the time when all lineages honour the Masters who brought to light the knowledge employed in their practice.  It's also a time when the 'guru' function in Nature is particularly lively - the full meaning of 'guru' is removal of ignorance/darkness, 'purnima' means fullness.  So the guru function reaches fullness on this full moon.  This evening will replace our regularly scheduled weekly Group Meditation.

You’ll receive further details upon registering. You can attend online via zoom.
